2. There are rules to writing clearly. They range from what makes a good sentence to how to use metaphors in effective communication. Your job is to learn the rules, then learn to spot them, then use them (within reason).

3. Good writing leans into what is true in the simplest way possible. To get to that stage, you have to know your audience, anticipate their train of thought, and write to alleviate their concerns in a way that makes sense to them and communicates your message.
